F. Jahn has been established for over 90 years and is now dedicated to the supply of high quality industrial packaging and processing equipment to the UK and Irish food industries.

At the Outset

Computer Strategies have been supporting F. Jahn for over 15 years. A conventional Microsoft network has been upgraded over the years from various incarnations of Windows. We have assisted them in moving offices and providing Internet connections, email accounts, virus and spam protection services.

The Challenge

F. Jahn were changing the model of their business. They have moved to operating from two locations, Teddington and Manchester. They simply wanted access to files from either location at any time. It was also thought an opportune time to upgrade all their hardware.

The Tasks at Hand

CS provided a cloud-based file-synchronization tool. This allows users full access to their data wherever they may be. This exceeded our client’s initial requirement in that all files can be accessed at any time from any location which has quickly provided the capability of working from home or on the road. As well as providing new Windows 7 PCs, a state of the art scanning device was also installed.

The Outcome

F. Jahn are now able to keep up to date files synchronised seamlessly between their two sites, and elsewhere, with little or no effort. Allowing staff at both sites to continuously work with each other.
